We finally set sail from Kaštela and have a new goal of reaching Zadar in about a week. In a nutshell..

We first headed to the island of Šolta and the quaint town of Maslinica. We stayed at the nice, small Marina Maslinica (or Martinas Marchi marina). We were struck by the clearest water we have yet to see. You could even see the full slime lines! Beautiful. Nice swimming here too. We were docked directly across from the pretty hotel that was a refurbished castle. Pretty place that we would definitely go back to.

On our way back to the mainland, we had a really fun lunchtime at anchor where we tested out our new SUP for the first time. Some were more successful than others. 😉

We then made our way to the city of Rogoznica where we docked one night at Marina Frapa then used a mooring ball the second night. We had “amateurs” stamped on ourselves as we attempted to moor. We broke another boat hook and Laura dove in to get the ropes connected to the mooring ball. She sincerely loved that part. It all worked out fine, but in hindsight, we figured out a better strategy for next time. 😉 We all loved mooring, though. Much more space, privacy, you can jump right off the boat, be moored at a great beach, and use the dinghy to get to shore.

We dinghyed to town for dinner. That was a first for the kids. The dinghy finally earned a name that night too that seems like it will stick – Uberding. We loved Rogoznica and will definitely go back. Neat city spread among land masses with a great mooring area near a really great beach. Oh, and the marina was really nice too. Very unusual architecture with lots of facilities.

What a delightful post Lisa, so beautiful to see, what happy memories for the 4 of you, storing up Vit D too for the mid western winter🌞 brenda
